PREVCO Vacuum and Dry Nitrogen Kit

PREVCO’s Vacuum and Dry Nitrogen Back-Fill Kit allows you to pull a vacuum on your housing after assembly to check to be sure the housing is leak tight, then after performing the vacuum test, while the housing is under vacuum, hook up the included nitrogen source and regulator and allow the vacuum to pull the dry nitrogen into the housing until the pressure is equalized with the atmosphere. The procedure removes the moisture inside the housing and replaces it with an inert dry gas to prevent condensation during deployment and reducing oxygen to keep the internals safe from any electrical arcs or internal fires caused by circuitry issues or hydrogen off-gassing.

The Vacuum and Dry Nitrogen Back-Fill Kit includes everything you need to perform a vacuum leak test and back-fill with dry nitrogen including the Vacuum pump (110VAC) and Interface Manifold with valve and gauge that fits to any PREVCO Dual Seal Vent Port that come standard on our housings (included fittings will fit either a #3 or #4 SAE Boss Port, the 1/4" NPT interface on the manifold can easily be adapted to a variety of other interfaces as needed). Also included is a Nitrogen storage bottle (shipped empty), Nitrogen Regulator, interconnect hose, Instruction Manual and a nice rugged shipping case with wheels. Availability is usually from STOCK up to 4-weeks after order.

In addition, the vacuum pump includes a low-volume Pressure output that PREVCO uses to make Controlled Endcap Removal easy. Contact us for more information on how we do this.
