STOCK "FAST-SHIP" FIXED-LENGTH TUBES with SPOT FACED ANODIZED END CAPS READY FOR MODIFICATION (Delivery: 1 week or less)

PREVCO's FAST-SHIP housings have fixed-length tubes that are fully machined and anodized.  The end caps are fully machined and anodized but have been incorporated with a unique way to drill and tap for "BCR" type connectors (BCR or BCP connectors are threaded with a single face seal o-ring).  End cap #1 includes several o-ring surface spot faces, has several blind tapped holes on the inside for bracket mounting, is fully anodized and ready for BCR connector modification with a Dual Seal Vent Port and Plug.  If housing is a standard double ended housing, end cap #2 , if needed, includes a series of o-ring surface spot faces for BCR connectors and is fully anodized and ready for modification.  Click on the spotfaced endcap images above to see an example sketch of the endcap spotface layouts for Endcap #1 and Endcap #2.

Tubes are completely machined and anodized. The aluminum end caps are completely machined but are unanodized and ready for your connector modifications.  PREVCO will provide you with drawings of your end cap modifications for your approval prior to machining the blank end caps.  After modification, the end caps will be anodized. Delivery is typically 3-4 weeks after approval of interface drawings.

Plastic Housings are ready to modify, delivery is usually faster with Plastic housings because of no need to anodize.  Plastic housings include tube or main housing body and plastic endcaps, Modifications for connectors, Vent Plug and Port, shipping and any other additional modifications cost extra, contact PREVCO for an exact quote and delivery.

Select Stock Designs are fully modifiable, Stock tube raw material is cut to length and blank unanodized end caps are usually in stock.  Specify the desired length of the tube and the modifications to the end caps.  Special end caps can be made to meet increased/decreased thickness or to accommodate windows or special devices.  PREVCO will provide interface drawings for customer approval prior to fabrication.  Delivery is usually 4-6 weeks after approval of the interface drawings.  Lengths shown in the table below are for reference.  The prices are if you chose the lengths shown and will give an idea as to what the cost would be if the customer desired length is in between sizes shown.  Call PREVCO for more information.

As with all of our designs, Just supply PREVCO with your requirements for Packaging Diameter, Packaging Length, Outside Dimensional Constraints, Material, Operating Depth, Number and Type of Penetrations/connectors, Equipment Mounting Holes, etc.  Sometimes it's best to just call us to discuss and for recommendations...  we are happy to help.  PREVCO will utilize our "Stock Design" software to quickly develop the design that meets your needs.  PREVCO can make custom housings almost as fast as our standard stock versions.  We are experts at solving your exact needs!

5.  "STOCK SPECIALS"

Stock Specials are excess housings that were developed and produced in quantity and are available only until the stock is depleted.  Modifications for connectors, Vent plugs and ports, anodizing endcaps (except Fastship includes anodizing), testing, shipping and any other additional modifications cost extra, contact PREVCO for an exact quote and delivery.

6.  "SCRATCH & DENT"

Occasionally housings get damaged in shipping or have machining flaws that don't meet PREVCO's rigorous standards and have been rejected for various reasons.  These cost effective housings or parts of housings may work well for a particular application perhaps for short-term duration, not concerned about appearance or exposed, unanodized material.  Housings may only consist of a tube that needs end caps that can be supplied at additional cost, Parts may have shipping damage, exposed anodize or other flaws.  PREVCO will make sure that these housings properly seal prior to shipping.  We usually don't have very many of these so these are available as long as supplies last and do not carry PREVCO's standard warranty.

7. "Plastic Housing Models"

Cylindrical Plastic Models P6.501 and P4.501 Plastic housings are made of PVC with Optically Clear Acrylic Endcaps ready to modify for your connectors or other penetrations/features.  PREVCO offers several Plastic Housing models, several are STOCK models with fixed sizes and there are other stock design models available.  If you require plastic for your application and a stock model doesn't work for you contact PREVCO for suggestions.  Note that Plastic in sizes larger than the fixed size stock models can often be more expensive than an aluminum housing of equivalent size.  Plastic is great for shallow water and other corrosion resistant applications.  Some designs can go deeper but generally 100 meters is a reasonable limit.  If your depth rating is more and size large then a metal housing may be needed.  Note that the P6.501 plastic housing can come in longer lengths.  Contact PREVCO for more information

Clear Plastic Boxes Clear Polycarbonate rectangular housings are injection molded and have a single removable end that is thick enough to accomodate the addition of connectors. The removable end is optically clear. Rated for 75 meters operating depth, these housings are great for junction boxes, electronics, cameras and splash proof applications. Available in 2 sizes.
